Forest of Dean / Lou Thompson / 6x6 Pads

Hello everyone and welcome to a new challenge from UK Scrap Addicts. This month is all about using our 6x6 papers.

This challenge presented a great way to use up some of my left over 6x6 pages. I pulled out what I had and noticed I had a lot of metallics and
autumnal colours so I decided upon an autum theme. It was then that I remembered this beautiful paper I had been hoarding from Bo Bunny
with a wonderful tree on it. I also remembered that I had a photo of my partner on a trip we made in a wax coat thats' colour suited this paper
so well.

I began my layout with some simple ink spray using the gorgeous Shimmerz spray and by stenciling some Oxide inks on top. From there it was lots of stripes, squares and punched tags from the 6x6 pads and some ephemera layered up with lots of embellisments, chipbaords and stickers.

Here are some close up  shots for you. To watch the process video visit:

Lots of old stash was used, but newer items are available from:

# Elfie / Sheena Rowlands / Christmas Scrapping

Hi there Sheena here again x

Today I'm sharing with you my take on Christmas scrapping here on the blog.
Most of my creating is 12x12 scrapbook layouts plus my Project Life but as I tend to work on that a month behind I made this layout to share with you.

But first let me take an #Elfie.

This photo is a selfie I took this time last year in a Christmas jumper!! I loved this Elf jumper & it even had a hood!! When I saw this phrase on the Silhouette site I just had to cut it for this layout. I tend to keep my Christmas supplies together so it was easy to find scraps to back the cut file with, they are from a selection of manufacturers. I trimmed the cardstock down a little & backed it with patterned paper similar to the sleeves of my jumper.

I added a pocket and tag behind my photo so I could document my love for this jumper & the popularity of Elf on the Shelf without affecting the overall design. Then added my photo and a few layers over the top.

I was thrilled when I stumbled over some Elf pin badges in a £1 store and after removing the back it made a perfect embellishment for my page. I chose my embellishments by colour rather than manufacturer.

I hope you all have a Happy Christmas & get a chance to take a breath & maybe get a little time to do some crafting too xxx

Destintion: Seagulls Fan | Laura Rumble | Large Photo

Hi there, Laura here today.  I planned to make a 9x12 layout with a 9x12 photo... basically just embellishing the photo.  It ended up a little wider but I'm happy with it.

I designed a cut file using the emblem on my nephews shirt.

I added a cluster to the bottom corner of the photo.  I've used labels, a tag and some Bramble Fox goodies.

The gulls were getting a little lost so I backed them with vellum.  You can still see through to the photo and card underneath but it doesn't detract from the gull.

Here's the video:
