Tea for Two | Fussy Cutting| Elaine King

Hi all

Me again! Not sure where these months go to but it's my turn on the blog again to share with you my 'Fussy Cutting' layout for our May prompt.

For this I used a My Minds Eye collection, called Splendor,  that I bought from Hey Little Magpie a few weeks ago..or was it months..they roll by so quickly!

Anyway,  the best way to 'get through' any fussy cutting is, in my opinion, to do it in front of the television. To be fair, I LOVE a bit of fussy cutting and don't really understand those of you that don't like it..but hey ho, it takes all sorts to make the world go around... lol

So, I sat down to watch the Great British Menu (you don't have to watch every minute detail so its a good one to sit down in front of) and got cutting, and cutting..and well, a bit more cutting. Suffice to say I got a bit carried away and before I knew it, I had lots of fussy cut flowers and swans done. I then chose a long hoarded piece of green card and decided to sew a grid effect on it. I sewed in four different coloured threads until it was done.

I then mounted the photos on pale pink card and settled on the position of them. Once these were mounted I added lots of the fussy cut flowers and swans in layers around the photos.

I hope you'll have a go at a fussy cutting layout to share too. Hope you enjoy.

Elaine
