Baby’s Day Out | Keighley Brennan | Moodboard

Hey UKSA, Keighley here and today it’s my turn to share my layout using our Moodboard as inspiration. When I look at a Moodboard I tend to pick one or two things that inspire me, in this case the Butterflies caught my eye first and then the Rainbow image. With this in mind I then looked to see what collection I could pull from my stash. I decided to go with She’s Magic by Dear Lizzy because I knew there was rainbows in this collection.

When I saw the butterflies the first thing I thought of was a cutfile by Paige Evans, she has so many beautiful butterfly cutfiles but I knew which one I wanted to use. I cut the cutfile on my Silhouette Portrait 2, I scaled the cutfile down so it would fit perfectly on my A4 page. I then backed the page with a gorgeous rainbow paper from She’s Magic.

I picked out lots of embellishments I wanted to use making sure to use some rainbows on my layout, including a 2x2 card from one of the cut aparts which worked perfectly. I then tucked the embellishments in around my photo, adding layers with tickets and florals.

If you would like to see how my layout came together please check out my process video here on the UK Scrap Addicts YouTube Channel.

Don’t forget to share your layouts over on our Facebook page, or tag us on Instagram if you’ve played along this month.

I Am The Storm | Karen Moss | Hidden Journalling

Hello, hello Karen here with my hidden journalling page for this month's challenge.

Our daughter has been working as a doctor in A&E and has not enjoyed it at all - the work and hours are challenging both physically and mentally but she is changing jobs at the end of January so there is light at the end of the tunnel.  I wanted her to have something tangible to know how proud we are of her and decided to write a letter, I printed it out twice - one for my layout and one to pop in her Christmas card.

I saw the quote in a magazine, advertising a bracelet with it engraved on, and thought it would be the perfect sentiment to send to her.

I added an envelope to my layout, with a piece of card attached to the flap and popped my letter into the envelope.

I embellished the front of the card, adding a photo, which I screenshotted from Instagram - hence the close cropping at the top to eliminate Gracie's Instagram name.

I am delighted with the result and think this may well be my favourite layout this year!

There is a process video here showing more detail of how I made this, I think you will agree, extremely well hidden journaling page.

I hope you can squeeze in a little time to be creative over the next few, hectic weeks and wish you an early Happy Christmas.

Live Life in Full Bloom | Karen Moss | Sketch

Hello, hello, Karen here with my August page using the lovely sketch designed by Laura Rumble.

I decided to give the sketch a quarter turn and use a piece of patterned paper to replace the two photos, I then added a 5 x 7 photo and flowers in a swag at the bottom of my page and horizontally either side of my photo.

My page turned out differently to how I had envisioned as I had made a water colour painted title but then decided not to use it!

This was the result - more details, including the abandoned water colour title,  can be found in my process video here.
