You Colour My World | Punches| Karen Moss

Hello, hello - Karen here with this months theme which is of course punches.

Now, I have a serious addition to punches and have lots and lots and lots - in fact, an embarrassingly large number!  So this months challenge was an easy one.

I started by cutting a doily shape on my Silhouette and decided to add punched strips to the centre of my doily - something I have seen on many pages lately.

I then punched out lots of flowers and leaves from lots of different papers and added these to the bottom right of my page and the top left.

I added some gems to the centre of the flowers (these were an absolute bargain - £1.00 from The Works).

To finish I added a title, made on my Silhouette.

I have a video of how this page came together here.

Don't forget to check out the other projects using punches on our YouTube channel, blog, Instagram and Facebook pages.

Embrace Life / Sheena Rowlands / Stamping

Hi there Scrap Addicts x Sheena here again.

This month we have been challenged to create using stamps. I don't know about you but I tend to collect stamps rather than use them! So I had a look at the ones I'd most recently purchased - they were Vicki Boutin stamp & die sets & challenged myself to use them on a layout.

Embrace Life.

Back in August I'd visited the Frida Kahlo - Making Herself Up exhibition in London. It was a fabulous collection of photos, artefacts & clothing telling her story but photography were prohibited. Luckily they had this sculpture there & I took advantage for a few quick photos.

To recreate her flower head dress I water coloured paper using Vicki Boutin  Art Crayons to get a range of different shades of yellow, orange and pink.

Once dry I stamped flowers over this with similar coloured inks picking the parts of the water colour paper I liked the most. Then using the corresponding dies I cut them all out. I got a little carried away & made over 50 flowers!

Next I set about arranging the flowers to create a Frida type head dress, then sticking them down some on foam pads around my 2 photos.

I kept the rest of the page quite simple just adding a little machine sewing, chipboard title and journalling. All papers used & title are from various Paige Taylor Evans ranges.

I surprised myself by how much I enjoyed stamping out these flowers & I need to try and use more stamping on my pages & have a good look through the stamps I own.

We look forward to seeing what you create with stamps over on our FB group.
Till next time x

Forest of Dean / Lou Thompson / 6x6 Pads

Hello everyone and welcome to a new challenge from UK Scrap Addicts. This month is all about using our 6x6 papers.

This challenge presented a great way to use up some of my left over 6x6 pages. I pulled out what I had and noticed I had a lot of metallics and
autumnal colours so I decided upon an autum theme. It was then that I remembered this beautiful paper I had been hoarding from Bo Bunny
with a wonderful tree on it. I also remembered that I had a photo of my partner on a trip we made in a wax coat thats' colour suited this paper
so well.

I began my layout with some simple ink spray using the gorgeous Shimmerz spray and by stenciling some Oxide inks on top. From there it was lots of stripes, squares and punched tags from the 6x6 pads and some ephemera layered up with lots of embellisments, chipbaords and stickers.

Here are some close up  shots for you. To watch the process video visit:

Lots of old stash was used, but newer items are available from:
