Hello everyone!


I am back with a Traveler's note book layout for you this month for the fussy cutting challenge...

I bring you a layout or two which shows you that fussy cutting can mean using items of a different nature, not just scrapbooking papers, and cutting out flowers etc. (although those layouts are BEAUTIFUL!)

For this months layout i have been documenting in my travellers note book about my recent trip to Krakow, Poland. I have cut apart some leaflets, and maps from the trip, and used bits from a guide book.

Welcome to february 11th! - how are we in february already?!

I'm using a photo from June last year when i attended a GoGo Getaway Retreat, and happened to have a mini UK Scrap Addict photo session it a couple of the other girls who were also attending.


                           

For this layout i used the new Mindthescrap February Kit which is very, very pretty.

I used the 12x12 paper by Maggie Holmes called Parasol from the Sunny Days collection.

I took a 2 inch punch to the parasols and punched them out to make a bright summer background to my photo. I used my Travellers notebook which is to document the summer of 2018.

I have also used the Amy Tangerine sticker book from her Sweet Life collection to do my title, and the little heart.

Traveler's Notebook | Michelle Mills (UglyBugPlans) | Journalling

Hello scrap addicts, I hope that you re all keeping well? It's Michelle here from UglyBugPlans with my take on this months topic of journalling. I have a bit of a different video that just a process where I've included a chatty element at the beginning where I explain how and where I do most of my journalling and some different habits that I have and I show you a couple of examples of this.

The process part of the video is rather short with my focus on the actual journalling which I created using some Tim Holtz Big Chat stickers. I knew the kind of sentence that I wanted to create and then chose random word stickers to emphasise and give my journalling an interesting element.

Because I knew the page with the journalling would look cluttered if I tried to embellish too much I decided that it would be the perfect place to use the stencil from this months sponsor Pretty My Page, my original thought had been to use some embossing paste to give the page texture but then I wanted my journalling to be quite fluid so I used a coordinating stamping pad which gave the pattern a lovely depth.
