Love | Sheena Rowlands | Punches.

Hi there Scrap Addicts x Sheena here again.

This month our challenge is to use punches to create our page. I have to confess to having plenty of punches that never see the light of day! So I had a look through them and chose an old favourite to use for this page.

Generally when I use punches I tend to use papers from my scrap box so as you can see I went through and picked all the blue scraps and starting punching heart.

Love.

I started arranging all the punched hearts into a heart shape but also trying to create an ombre effect.  I only used the 2 bigger sizes of hearts I'd punched and included them in a haphazard pattern mixing the papers.

When I was happy I stick each one down using foam pads to the cardstock which took longer than I'd thought it would! I really didn't want to cover them over so I added my matted photo and a few clustered flowers to one corner plus a couple of butterflies. Finishing off with a few splatters of paint, a machine sewn edge and a Perspective title.

We would love to see you layouts using punches on our Facebook group.
Till next time x

Things are Looking Up / Jackie Ashton / 4x6 photograph

Hi UK Scrappers, Jackie here with my take on the this months challenge, use a 6x4 photograph on your layout.  When I first started to scrapbook, all my photographs where standard 6x4 but over the years I have used various sized photographs on my pages and hardly use standard 6x4 anymore, so this theme was a welcome change from the sizes I normally use, and one I will remember to do more of in the future.

Paris - Things are Looking Up

I kept my layout minimalistic as I wanted the main focus to be my photograph, and having the colourfulness of the patterned paper I didn't  think the page needed too many embellishments.

I used the lovely colourful collection from Shimelle - Box of Crayons and stamped some words on the white cardstock.

These acyclic I got whilst in Paris and work perfectly with  this layout, as well as the wood veneer.

The title strips come from the cut-a-part sheet from the same collection.

If you don’t scrap with 6x4 photographs, why not give it a go, we would love to see what you create in our Facebook group.

Till next time ...

I'm on Holiday! | Giselle Homer | One 6x4 photo

Hello everyone,

I hope you've been able to find some scrapping time during the recent warm weather.

This month's theme is a fairly simple one, to use just one 6" x4" photo. When I saw this picture of my grandson, I knew it would definitely be on my scrapping list!

For this layout I used a water colour paper from Daler Rowney called The Langton. It really holds  paint and ink well without buckling and is available from Hobbycraft in number of sizes. I wanted to keep the focus mainly on the photo so I dabbed pale grey ink over the background using some cellophane packaging material. Then I just lightly stamped over that with two Tim Holtz Distress Inks called Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers.

I backed the photo with some scraps of patterned paper, one of which looks a bit like his shorts - what luck! And added a flair badge, with a few other embellishments, to a die cut circle to make a little cluster on the right of the photo.

I used American Crafts Thickers for the title and added the die cut 'Hello' which I found in my stash, so apologies for not knowing the manufacturer. I then added another little cluster below the photo to include my journalling spot, some puffy stickers & an enamel dot.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with if you take inspiration from this month's theme, I'm sure you all have lots of 6" x4" photos waiting to be scrapped!

Till next time, happy scrapping!
