Pair Of Jokers| Zoe Hailey| Masculine Layout

Hi Everyone

Zoe back again with another masculine layout, this time I've had some fun with Shimelle's Field Trip collection.

My definition of masculine for this page includes black cardstock, blues, greens, leaves and Astronauts!

I had this photo of my husband and our youngest son,  both of them were giggling and laughing hysterically;  I just Love It! So much in fact, I printed it twice (once in colour and once in black and white) and I couldn't decide which photograph to use. So I included both by adding a flip up on my photo.

I took inspiration from the tress in the background of the image which was taken at the O2 so the leaves seemed a good starting point. I pulled in the pink from my husbands T shirt and included that in some of my clusters (who says pink isn't masculine!?)

I love how this page came together, especially the flip up photo of my pair of jokers!

Thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing what you create this month.

SHINE OKAY | Zoe Hailey | Mixed Media

Hi everyone and welcome to my June blog for UKSA's mixed media theme.

Not sure about you, but I never really know what I am going to make when I sit down to produce a mixed media layout and this month I made a few because in my experience, they don't all go to plan!

At the moment I am really loving scrapping with 2x2 photos and although these are far from the best quality pictures, I love how this layout turned out.

I have worked with Amy Tangerine's Shine On collection for the very first time, it just seemed to be perfect for a layout about a walk in the woods with the children.

I created my background using two (of my very under utilised stencils), shimmery goodness and Heidi Swapp's metallic texture paste (which I love because it dries so quickly and I'm too impatient and normally end up smudging my layout!)

I have created some clusters off my page using die cuts, thickers chipboard as well as some wood veneer that I picked up recently. I have also used some of what I call liquid gold as I am getting very near to the end of Heidi Swapp gold colour shine (sob sob!)

Hope you enjoy getting messy with our mixed media theme this month and look forward to seeing what you create.

Zoe

We Sparkle - Stephanie Squires - Paige Taylor Evans cutfile - 12 x 12 Fussy Cutting Layout

Hello scrapbookers!

Steph here with my version of this months challenge!

Sooooooo this months challenge is fussy cutting...something I both love and hate equally!  I love to fussy cut sitting in front of the TV or going on a journey or doing something that doesn't eat into my scrappy time I hate to fussy cut when I only have a short time to scrap book and spend an hour of it fussy cutting lol!!

I started with a beautiful textured piece of floral paper from Carte Bella's Flower Market collection.  I gutted the paper leaving a one inch border.  I trimmed my cutfile down to an 11 inch square and backed the hearts with a blush paper from Crate Paper's La La Love collection.

Next I stuck them to the pack of the paper with magic tape which enabled me to tuck the flowers that I fussy cut inside the edge of the hearts without any problems and sewed round the "Love you" piece of the cutfile and off set it on foam risers by one of the hearts.

I added my photos to the centre of the layout on a white photo booth strip and added a black perspective negative which I had backed in gold glitter card and added some chipboard accents to the top right of the layout and near my photos.

Lastly I added the title "We Sparkle" and a few puffy stickers around the photo and that was it....layout complete.

I hope you have enjoyed this months layout and please add all layouts to our facebook page in the correct album and tag UK Scrap Addicts on your Instagram posts....

Until next month.....happy scrapping....

Steph xo

Snow Cute | Keighley Brennan | Sparkle

Hey Everyone, Keighley here today sharing my first layout as part of the UKSA Creative Team, using this months theme of sparkles.
I knew straight away I wanted to created a shaker, sequins add lots of sparkle to a layout. I created a large snowflake shaker with a mix of 3 different sequins, added glitter Thicker’s to create my title and for even more sparkle I used a very old bottle of Stickles glitter glue on some of the paper snowflakes.

You can watch my layout process here on the UKSA YouTube Channel.

There’s also lots of sparkly inspiration on UKSA Facebook group, we love to see your creations too

Thank You For Stopping By
